Well, that's the way I interpret Mitt Romney's assessment of possible budget solutions while being interviewed by Fox's Chris Wallace. His actual quote was:Cutting welfare spending dramatically, I don't think will hurt the poor.
Now the question is, will the mainstream media give that callous falsehood the widespread attention it deserves?
And if they don't, won't it make one wonder why such a dramatic statement from a major presidential candidate wouldn't be considered newsworthy?
It certainly has to be one of the stupidest things I've heard a major candidate say this campaign season.
What kind of people are these conservative Republicans?
Mitt Romney is truly unqualified for and unworthy of the job of President of the United States.

The Republican base will love him for saying that cutting social spending won't hurt the poor.
Paul,
It seems against their best interest to put it so bluntly. Usually the line is that entitlements hurt the economy and makes everyone's taxes too high. But to come right out and admit this way that the poor people aren't a concern ... to my thinking that is big news.
Typical of the current crop of Republicans. Push more people into the poor category and forget them. They will still vote for us because they are stupid, and we are the best con men on the planet.
With all the millions they have in their pockets they do not even understand the concept of being poor. What a shame.
Georgia Mountain Man,
They certainly are great con artists. Disgusting!
Sylvia,
I cannot tell you how outraged I became when I read what Romney said. But then, according to those folks, poor people are lazy and no account.
No kidding.
Diane,
Wasn't hard to read between the lines with Mitt, was it?
