God talk. Relatively few people seem totally uninterested in it. The majority of the world seem sharply divided between those in love with it and those in hate with it. Confessedly, I am one of the lovers. God (the concept) has been an important part of my life from my earliest memories. I've never been able to walk away.
Yesterday I was over at the Huffington Post reading an article by Bishop Desmond Tutu promoting his new book God Is Not A Christian: And Other Provocations. Didn't care much for his article but one of the reader's comments caught my attention, impressing me so strongly that I saved it.

Yes, I think that is where the rubber meets the road, as one radio preacher I used to listen to was fond of saying.
It is difficult indeed for any philosophical arguments to dislodge the creation of one's mind once formed into a strong conviction. That is why the gods are still with us, alive and doing well.
